TSCHE revises EAMCET, ECET, ICET & other entrance exam dates

Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has revised the exam dates and events schedule for its entrance examinations. TSCHE conducts many entrance tests each year for facilitating admissions to diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the Universities in the State and its affiliated colleges. TSCHE has announced revised exam dates of EAMCET, ECET, ICET and other Common Entrance Tests (CETs).

TSCHE revised entrance exam schedule was announced by the Council on Saturday, 23rd May 2020. Earlier on 15th May, the Council had announced that all CETs will be postponed in the State due to COVID-19 crisis. To allow maximum number of applicants for CETs, the last date for submission of online application and fee payment has also been revised and the candidates can now apply for the entrance exam up to 31st May.

Below are the revised entrance exam dates:

  • TS PGECET – 1 July to 3 July
  • ECET – 4 July
  • EAMCET – 6 July to 9 July
  • LAWCET & PGLCET – 10 July
  • ICET – 13 July
  • EdCET – 15 July
  • Poly CET – 1 july

TSCHE has not announced TS PECET exam date. The entrance test (TS PECET) will be conducted after 16th July and the Council will soon declare the exact exam date. Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda will conduct Telangana State Physical Education Common Entrance Test (TS PECET 2020) for admissions to B.P.Ed. and D.P.Ed. courses.

TS EAMCET – Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) will conduct TS EAMCET 2020 for admissions to various professional courses in the field of engineering, agriculture and pharmacy courses. More than 2 lakh aspirants are expected to participate in Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical (Pharmacy, Veterinary etc) Common Entrance Test.

TS ECET – Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET 2020) will also be conducted by JNTUH for lateral admissions into engineering, technology and pharmacy courses. Around 25 to 30 thousand candidates are expected to apply for TS ECET.

TS PGECET – More than 20 thousand candidates will take the Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET). The selected candidates will be eligible for admissions to postgraduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy and Graduate level Pharm-D courses. Osmania University, Hyderabad will conduct the TS PGECET 2020.

TS ICET – Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET 2020) will be conducted by the Kakatiya University, Warangal for admissions to MBA and MCA courses in the academic session 2020-21. More than 50 thousand candidates appear for TS ICET each year.

TS LAWCET & PGLCET – Around twenty thousand applications are received each year by TSCHE for Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test and Telangana State PG Law Common Entrance Test. The entrance tests are conducted for admissions to 3-year/ 5-year LL.B. and 2 year LL.M. courses offered by institutions in the State. Osmania University, Hyderabad will organize TS LAWCET & TS PGLCET 2020.

TS Ed.CET – Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test will conducted by Osmania University Hyderabad for admission to 2-year B.Ed. course.

TS Polycet 2020 – Telangana Polytechnic Common Entrance Test will be conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad for shortlisting candidates for admissions to Diploma courses in Engineering/ Non-Engineering/ Technology offered at Polytechnic institutions in the State.
