The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu had scheduled the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exam, also known ask 10th public board examinations scheduled between March 27th to April 13th, 2020.
Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu made the announcement today on March 21, 2020 to postpone 10th examinations in the wake of health & safety concerns of the students due to coronavirus outbreak.
Following TN SSLC (Class 10 public) board exam 2020 papers are postponed officially:
- March 27th- Language
- March 28th- Optional Language
- March 31st- English
- April 3rd- Social Science
- April 7th- Science
- April 13th- Mathematics
The Chief Minister also stated that examinations for class 11 (plus one) and class 12 (plus two) classes are not being postponed as those are underway. Plus one and plus two board exams will be conducted as scheduled. The fate of class 1-9th exams remains to be seen as official notice regarding that is not out yet.

The new dates for postponed SSLC exams will be released in due time, the officials said. The Tamil Nadu 10th public examinations will tentatively be held after April 14th, 2020.
The decision to postpone SSLC March 2020 examinations has been take due to the fast spreading Coronavirus outbreak as the state and central government are taking serious measures to stop the same.
