The Tamilnadu state board has prepped its 12th result 2020 website tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in to publish the results this year. As of this writing, the tnresults website is noting “Tamilnadu 12th (HSE/+2) public exam results 2020- Await for details”, means the result date and time is today. The state Education Minister KA Sengottaiyan has already stated that 12th results will be announced in first week of July month. After a long wait for their results and the admission process for various graduation level courses picking up pace, the Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu is in the process of activating the link for publication of results of its 12th public exam 2020 that were held in March month. Since the Tamil Nadu state board had successfully conducted all its Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) otherwise known as 12th public examination, in the month of March itself, there is no change in the marking scheme.
Once the results are out, the students will with this move ahead with their plans to move to graduation courses and continue learning or working. Nearly 8 lakh students have reportedly attended the 12th public exams in Tamil Nadu.
In the year 2019, a total number of 8,69,423 students had appeared for Tamil Nadu 12th public examinations. For students who appeared in the science stream, the pass percentage recorded in the results was 92.75%, for commerce stream students it was 90.78% and for arts stream was 80.13% while for vocational courses the merit was 82.70%. The merit has been increasing as compared to the previous years since in 2019 as compared to 2018 the merit increased by an overall 0.2%. Other stats are as follows:
- A total of 8,69,423 students wrote the 12th public exams.
- Out of them, total of 7,26,225 students passed the exams.
- Total number girls and boys passing the exams were 4,53,262 and 3,89,250 respectively.
Since there has been minimum impact on the grading system of the 12th public exams and the students have undergone regular classes as well as the strength of the students remains the same, the merit is expected to remain the same as that in 2019.

How to check 12th result at tnresults.nic.in in 2020
The students can check their 12th result at Tamil Nadu State Board website and by following the required process, which is given below.
- Log on to the official website www.tnresults.nic.in.
- Go to the section “HSE(+2) March 2020 Exam Results” and click on it.
- You will land up on a new page where you shall be asked to enter your credentials.
- The credentials will be roll number, date of birth and anything else, input the same in the corresponding field.
- Submit the information.
- Your e-statement of marks will be displayed on the screen.
- Take a print out of the same for future reference.
Tamil Nadu 12th Rechecking, Revaluation and Compartment Papers:
The Tamil Nadu State will announce the details for rechecking, revaluation, and compartment papers the declaration of its 12th class results. The changes in the application fees for scrutiny, revaluation and copy of answer sheet is also not revised as of yet. A tentative time frame shall be 30 days. The process for scrutiny, revaluation, and copying is online. The compartment papers will take place only in the month of August-2020.
