The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the revised exam dates for some of the major examinations postponed earlier due to the COVID-19 crisis. SSC CHSL exam date has been announced for Tier 1 exam along with CGL Tier 2 exam. The Staff Selection Commission has published the schedule of total 7 examinations to be conducted from August to October. The revised exam dates have been announced after a review meeting held today. Earlier in a meeting held on 21st May, the Commission had said the situation caused due to Coronavirus will be reviewed on 1st June and new dates for pending exam and results will be decided.
SSC had postponed the CHSL Tier 1 2019 exam, JE Paper 1 2019, Stenographer Grade C & D 2019 exam, CHSL 2018 Skill Test and Examinations for the Selection Posts Phase-8 2020 due to lockdown across the country. The revised exam dates have been announced for following examinations-
- CHSL Tier 1 exam 2019
- JE Paper 1 exam 2019
- Selection Post exam 2020- Phase 8
- Stenographer Grade C & D Exam 2019
- Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination Paper 1, 2020
- Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator and Hindi Pradhyapak Examination Paper 1, 2020
- CGL Tier 2, 2019 exam
SSC had said the exam dates will be announced at least one month in advance so that the candidates can prepare. SSC may also make changes in the other examination dates so the candidates are advised to keep visiting the SSC website in regular intervals for update. Lets take a look at some exams of SSC. Here is the revised schedule of SSC examinations to be held in August, September and October 2020.
CHSL Exam Date
SSC CHSL exam date for Tier 1 paper has been announced by the Commission now. SSC had scheduled the CHSL Tier 1 exam to be held from 17th March to 28th March, however, the exams scheduled from 20th March were postponed in view of emergent situation due to Covid-19. The SSC has now announced the exam dates for remaining candidates. SSC CHSL Tier 1 2019 exam will be conducted for left over candidates in online mode from 17th August to 21st August and 24th August to 27th August.
CHSL Tier 1 exam will be conducted in online mode. The paper will consist of total 100 questions distributed equally among four sections – General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. The total time to solve the Tier 1 exam is 60 minutes. Tier 1 qualified candidates will be called for Tier 2 exam (descriptive paper). SSC had scheduled CHSL Tier 2 paper for 28th June and the revised exam date will be announced soon.
SSC CHSL examination is conducted for recruitment to the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO). Total 4,893 posts are to be filled through SSC CHSL 2019 exam including 1269 LDC/JSA posts, 3598 PA/ SA posts and 26 DEO posts.
What about pending Results?
Many examination results are pending to be announced. The results of Junior Engineer (JE) exam, Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) Paper 2 & CGL Tier 3 exam of 2018 and CGL Tier 1 2019 results are pending as of now. As the Commission has now started making announcements on pending exam dates, we can soon expect the announcement of SSC results.
