SEBA HSLC result 2020

Assam HSLC examinations are going to commence from February 10th and will conclude on February 29th. However, before the theory exams, SEBA will hold practical exams in January 2020. The result of both theory and practical exams are released officially at the same time and the marks sheet contains the marks details for theory and practical marks in each subject.

SEBA HSLC Result Date and Time

Last year, SEBA had released the HSLC result at on May 15th and also published the Toppers List on the same day. Those asking what is the date of HSLC 2020 result? Answer is that the result will be announced in mid-May. The board will notify of the result declaration date in advance but after the exams are over. The date and time for Assam HSLC result in 2019 was May 15th and 9AM respectively. The board published a press release beforehand conveying the date and time for result announcement. Here is the record of last five years stating the result date and time.

There is not one but 3 different ways you can check your SEBA HSLC result 2020 when the time comes, and those are- by Mobile App, by SMS, and by visiting the websites.

Check Result By SMS

To check HSLC result 2020 by SMS, students will need a message using the text format prescribed by SEBA to a specific number. Last year’s details to check result by SMS are given below. This year, there might be slight change but we will update that. Most likely the change will be in the text format where SEBA19 would be changed to SEBA20.

Result By Mobile Application

Last year, SEBA had launched an mobile application for the students to check their results. The App was named “SEBA Results 2019”. However, it’s uncertain as of now whether SEBA will upload the 2020 HSLC results on the same app or will launch a new one. Whichever way, we’ll know more once official notice arrives regarding the same.

When the application name is known from SEBA, you will need to download the App from Google Play store using your or parents’ smartphone. Then simply open the App and fill in the roll number to retrieve the results.

Result on Websites

Apart from the official website, a number of other websites also avail the HSLC results. These sites partner with SEBA and can also be referred for official results. Last year, the official notice contained the name of these websites where students could check their result. Here is the list:


It must be noted that some of the websites listed above may not work in 2020. We will know the complete and final list of websites in the official notice. Few years ago, the results were uploaded only at official portal which almost usually caused congestion on the website due to surge in traffic as lakhs of students turned online to check their. This used to cause the website downtime and hours of anxiety for the students as they couldn’t check the results. But students would not have to face this problem anymore as there are now plethora of sites to check the results. We will update the list soon.

Steps to check Assam HSLC result online

Step 1– First, the students need to visit any of the above listed website- simply type the URL in the desktop or mobile browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, UC browser etc.).

Step 2– Once the site is open, look for the relevant link such as “Result of Higher Secondary Leaving Certificate Examinations 2020” or “Assam 10th/HSLC results 2020”. Now click that link.

Step 3– The link will open a window where you will be required to enter your Roll Number and captcha. Fill in the required details and hit ‘submit’. A new window will open displaying your marks sheet.

Step 4– Once you open the marks sheet, make sure to verify your personal details such as Name, Father’s name, Mother’s name, School, Roll Number, and Enrollment number etc.

Step 5– On the HSLC marks sheet, you will be able to see your total marks, subject-wise marks in practical/theory, pass/fail status. It is advised for you to take few printouts of the marks sheet for future references.

HSLC Results Rechecking

The rechecking process is for the students who are not happy/satisfied with their marks in particular subject(s). After the declaration of results, the board releases a notification about the rechecking process. The board accepts the applications from students who wish to get their answer scripts rechecked. The rechecking application form process is carried mere 1-2 days after the result announcement and applications are accepted during near 2 weeks period. The rechecking results are then declared after few weeks.

HSLC Compartment exams and results

SEBA conducts compartmental examinations for the students who fail in main (February) exams.

  • Eligibility- Candidates who appeared for February exams but did not pass.
  • Candidates who failed in maximum 3 subjects and got minimum 170 marks (aggregate).

The window to apply for compartment exams is open soon after main exam result announcement. The exams are conducted in July and results are announced soon after.

HSLC Result Statistics for The Year (2019)

A total of 3,42, 691 students had registered for HSLC exams last year out of which, only 3,36,203 finally appeared. Of the total who appeared, only 2,02,508 passed the exams registering an overall pass percentage of 60.23%.
