SBI CBO Salary 2020: State Bank of India (SBI) has released the notification regarding recruitment of Circle Based Officers (CBO) for a total of 3,850 vacancies in addition to 55 vacancies for PwD category. The vacancies were notified for posts in Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Goa. SBI CBO 2020 Salary Details

SBI will offer the Junior Management Pay Scale-I (JMCS-I) to the selected Circle Based Officer (CBO) candidates. Successful candidates will be entitled to an emolument of Rs. 23,700/- salary in hand. Candidates will be entitled to an increment of Rs. 980/- of salary in hand every year for a period of 7 years. Candidates will also receive increments for each year of service they completed in Scheduled Commercial Bank or Rural Banks prior to this recruitment.

When the basic salary reaches Rs. 30,560/- after these increments, the candidates will then receive increments of Rs. 1,145/- for 2 years. After which, SBI will offer increments if Rs. 1,310/- every year till the basic salary reaches Rs. 42,020/- which will be the maximum salary under this pay scale. In addition to basic salary, the candidates will also be entitled to receive benefits such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, etc. The Gross compensation received lies between 8.20 Lakhs (minimum) to Rs. 13.08 lakhs (maximum) per annum. The amount varies with the location of job posting.

When candidates are promoted to the next pay scale, they will receive their basic salary in hand and will be adjusted for increments each year they completed after reaching the maximum salary in the previous pay scale.

Career Path & Promotions

Candidates will not be entitled to inter-circle transfers until they complete 12 years of service or are promoted to SMGS-IV, whichever comes later. The selected officers will be in general cadre and will be governed by the promotion policy applicable for Bank’s general cadre officers. SBI offers promotions to deserving employees from time to time through internal recruitments and other provisions.

Eligibility criteria: Interested candidates will be required to fulfil the eligibility criteria set by SBI, else their applications might get rejected. Candidates will have to meet the below-mentioned criteria.

  • Candidates must not be older than 30 years of age as at 1st August 2020.
  • Candidates must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised University or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an officer at any scheduled bank or a regional rural bank.
  • Candidates must have studied the regional language of the State in which they are applying in either 10th or 12th standard.

SBI will also be providing reservation to certain candidates under various categories as per Government guidelines.

Selection Process

After the applications are received, the Bank will set a Shortlisting Committee to shortlist candidates. Shortlisted candidates will then be issued call letters and appear for an interview.
