JEE main & NEET exam date latest news: Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal has announced that NEET 2020 exam date has been decided as July 20, 2020. JEE Main will be held between July 19 to July 23, 2020.

  • He said that the government is making arrangements to reach students from rural areas and provide them with the online study facilities. This is being done through SWAYAM portal, TV channels and other platforms as well.
  • Syllabus reduced: The Minister said that due to the lockdown and COVID-19 crisis, the duration of academic session as well as the syllabus for classes is reduced. More guidelines are expected soon from CBSE and other state boards.
  • The Minister has recommended ‘Diksha’ portal and App to study online and prepare for the entrance exams such as NEET, JEE main etc.
  • Answering a student, the minister said that the college exams would be held from July 1st, so that the results could be declared by July-end. The new session will start from August 1, 2020.

Around 16 lakh candidates have registered to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Under Graduate (UG) 2020 for admission to medical institutions across the country. Whereas around 9 lakh engineering aspirants applied to take Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020.

JEE Main 2020 which was scheduled to be held on April 5,7,8, and 11 was postponed until further notice. The National Testing Agency also delayed the NEET 2020 from its initial exam date May 3rd, 2020.
