NIFT Admit Card 2021; download from February 1st

NIFT admit card for the entrance exam scheduled on February 14, 2021 will be released on February 01, 2021 as per the official notification. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will be releasing the admit cards of the registered candidates on its official website www.nift.ac.in. The candidates also got the opportunity to make any corrections in their application forms between January 25 to 28 by using the correction window.

The national- level exam of conducted every year is scheduled to be conducted on February 14, 2021. The test will be conducted at the 16 campuses of NIFT. On the basis of NIFT entrance test scores, students are admitted in various fashion and design courses, such as U.G. programs of B.Des, B.FTech, and P.G. courses of M.Des and M.FTech.

  • Visit the official website of NIFT: www.nift.ac.in
  • Go to the tab which says, ‘NIFT 2021 Admit Card’ and click on it.
  • Enter the details asked on the page that opens and submit.
  • Website will display the Admit Card which will be downloaded by the students.
  • Also they will have to take a print out of it for taking it to the exam centre.

Exam Pattern

Detailed process of admission to various courses is as follows:

  1. B.Des. (Bachelor of Design):
  • Written exam including, CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test).
  • After qualifying both CAT and GAT, students will go through a Situation Test.
  1. B.FTech. (Bachelor of Fashion Technology):
  • Written exam of GAT.
  1. M.Des. (Master of Design):
  • CAT & GAT written exams
  • GD/PI (Group Discussion/Personal Interviews) after written exams
  1. M.FTech. (Master of Fashion Technology):
  • CAT & GAT exams (written)
  • GD/PI after qualifying written exams
  1. M.F.M. (Master of Fashion Management):
  • GAT exam (written)
  • GD/PI after qualifying written exam

CAT- Exam Pattern: For UG & PG courses- Testing the designing ability and concept development of the students through various variables: intuitive ability, illustration skills, observation power, and innovative use of colour.

Situation Test Pattern: Candidates innovative abilities and skills are analysed by making models with a short briefing. They are provided with material, from which they have to create a model using their creativity. 

Group Discussion & Personal interviews pattern- 15 -20 Minutes of discussion on the case study. Students are evaluated on aspects such as: interpersonal skills, problem- solving skills, leadership qualities, communication skills, etc.

 While, Personal Interview analyses their general awareness, career orientation, aptitude, communication, etc.
