NEST result 2020 NISER Bhubaneswar will announce the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2020 result on October 12, 2020 as per the revised date. The candidates can check their NEST 2020 result through the official web portal Along with NEST 2020 results, the authority will also publish the cut off and merit list to be used for admission purpose.

Like every year, National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) organised the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) this year too. The finally selected candidates through NEST 2020 will be offered admission to 5-year Integrated M.Sc. program in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for the academic year 2020-25 in the two institutions.

NEST Result 2020 Merit List & Percentile

NEST 2020, being a national-level test was conducted across the country in two shifts. The test was finally conducted on 29th September, after getting rescheduled two times. The test results have also been delayed. Initially, the result was scheduled to be declared on 10th October, however, now the result will be out on 12th October.

Admission process in NISER and UM-DAE CEBS is completely dependent on the NEST exam. The students are admitted to the course on the basis of merit positions only. Once the NEST 2020 result will be announced, two separate merit lists will also be published. The students will be offered admission to NISER and CEBS (University of Mumbai) on the basis of the NEST merit list only.

NEST merit list is prepared by taking into account the percentile scores of candidates. The percentile scores are calculated from 3 best subject marks and general section marks scored by the candidates in the test. The Institutions have laid minimum requirements for admission in the course, according to which 95 percentile score is required for general category candidates. For candidates belonging to OBC and SC/ST category, getting minimum 90 percentile and 75 percentile respectively is a must.

The candidates can check their individual score as well as combined result (merit list) from official NEST website. NEST result 2020 can be accessed through online mode by following these simple steps.
1 – Open the official website
2 – On the home page, “NEST 2020 Result” link will be displayed, click on the link.
3 – Enter the required credentials like user ID and password and hit the Login button.
4 – NEST result will open in the new page.
