UPSC has declared the result of NDA 1 & 2 2020 examination and with that, the high-spirited candidates who have qualified, are out to know how to apply for SSB after NDA.

The process to register for SSB after clearing NDA is fairly simple. The candidates are required to register themselves at Indian Army website and afterwards they will be contacted through emails about their SSB Interview date, time and place . Read below to know the complete step by step process.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the combined National Defence Academy (NDA) I & II examination 2020 on September 6th in the online mode. The official advertisement related to UPSC NDA I & II exam result 2020 has been issued through the official website on October 9

The above noted UPSC NDA exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy for the 145th Course, and for the 107th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC), which will commence from 2021.

The selected candidates have been provisionally shortlisted to appear for the Service Selection Boards (SSB) interview.

How to Register for SSB After NDA Result?

The thing is, if you are among the lucky ones who are shortlisted, you now need to register yourself at Indian Army’s website- (like registration at any other website) and as directed in the UPSC’s official notification.

Here is what UPSC officially states about SSB registration process.

  • The shortlisted candidates need to register themselves at within 2 weeks of the NDA result declaration. That is, candidates need to register at before October 23.
  • After registering at the Join Indian Army website, the successful candidates will then be allotted Selection Centers and dates of SSB Interview.
  • The candidates will then be communicated the SSB interview date and Center details on their registered (with UPSC NDA exam) e-mail ID.
  • If a candidate has already registered with, he is not needed to register again.
  • If the candidate is facing any error/login problem, he can mail to [email protected].

In recent years, the process was that the candidates were directly communicated by Directorate of General Recruiting about their SSB date and Center such as Army board, AFSB or the Naval board. The Centers are provided taking into consideration preferences set by the candidate in the application. However, now it is mandatory to register at Indian Army recruiting website.

NDA SSB interview Documents Required

Candidates will be required to submit original certificates of Age and Educational Qualification at the time of SSB interview. It must be noted that the candidates do not need to send any document to UPSC now. The original documents as well photo copies have to be carried out with you in the SSB interview.

The certificates are: Birth certificate, High School/Senior Secondary marks sheets and passing certificate etc.

After SSB Process:

The final result i.e., the final shortlist of candidates for admission to the Academy will be declared after all SSB interviews are over.

The final result for the 2019 NDA exam was released on September 15th, 2020. So, expect NDA 1 & 2 2020 final result to be out sometime next year.

The marks sheets are released within 15 days of final result declaration on UPSC website and remains there for 30 days.

I am.unable to register at the join indian army ….whenever I try new registration with the email id that i had used while filling the nda(1)2020 form, then a msg comes that (ur name/fathers name/mothers name u entered already exists) may be because i have applied for tes this year…but when i try to register in the already registered section then a msg comes that (email id already exists)…because this email id had been used by my brother when he applied for the jco entry…how can i register now…..pls help..

    • No, you dont need to do anything else apart from completing the registration.
      Look out for emails from Army for SSB details in the coming days.
