UP 69000 Teacher Shiksha Bharti: High Court Decision on Cut Off, released

69000 Teacher Vacancy ‘Shiksha Bharti’ news update today: The Allahabad High Court has announced that cut off marks in UP 69000 teacher “69000 Shiksha Bharti Pariksha” will remain as decided by the government, ruling the UP government’s favor. The cut off marks for General category will be 65% and for reserved categories, it will be 60%. The high court bench was headed by Justice Pankaj Kumar Jaiswal and Justice Karunesh Singh Pawar for hearing today.

69000 Shiksha Bharti latest news:

The notification for recruitment of 69000 assistant teachers in the UP state schools was advertised on December 5, 2018 and the application submission process was carried out till December 20, 2018. This Shiksha Bharti exam was conducted on January 6, 2019, wherein 4,10,440 candidates appeared at nearly 800 test venues across the state. Some 21.26 thousand candidates had missed the exam.

Initially, the government had mentioned the minimum qualifying marks in the notification but not the cut off marks, on the basis of which the merit list would be prepared. The minimum cut off was notified a day after the examination.

According to the notice, the cut off marks for General (unreserved) category was to be 65%, means the candidates were required to obtain at least 97 marks of 150 maximum total marks. The cut off marks for reserved category was set at 60% i.e., 90 out of 150 marks.

This was the reason the candidates filed a petition in the court to change the cut off marks. The candidates had demanded that the cut off should be 45% for General and 40% for reserved category as was the case in previous September 2018 Shiksha Bharti Pariksha.

High Court Verdict on May 6, 2020 hearing:

The Allahabad court hearing today ruled that the cut off marks in 69000 teacher/Shiksha Bharti Pariksha will be kept as per the UP government’s notification. Means, the result and merit list will be released as per the 60% cut off for unreserved (SC/ST etc) category and 65% for general category candidates.

The High Court has also directed the Uttar Pradesh State government to complete the 69000 teacher vacancy recruitment “Shiksha Bharti” process within 3 months.

Delhi University conducts the UG & PG CBCS semester examinations twice in a year; in April/May and in Nov/Dec.

Generally, Delhi University declares the November/December exam results by early January but this year the results were delayed this year owing to the late evaluation of the answer scripts due to the the strike by Delhi University teachers Association (DUTA). The teachers had boycotted the evaluation process causing the delay.

Even though the DU result announcement was made today in the afternoon (around 3 PM), there is no end to the ordeal of the students. This is because of the DU results portal not functioning properly. Since the results were uploaded online at duresult.in, students in large number flocked to check the same, causing the site to crash. Even after an hour, the site is down and students are unable to access their results or download the statement of marks.

Students are advised to wait for some time and then visit duresult.in to download their marks statement. The University also avails the facility of revaluation to the students who are unsatisfied with their results.
