CBSE Junior Assistant Cut Off Expected High in 2020 & Previous Years

CBSE Junior Assistant Cut Off 2020: The cut off for CBSE Junior assistant exam 2020 is expected to be high due to various reasons, read below to find out why.

Central Board of Secondary Education has conducted the Computer Based Test on January 29th & 30th for recruitment to 204 posts of Junior Assistant. CBSE has conducted the exams for other posts too (such as Assistant Secretary, Junior Hindi Translator, Senior assistant, Steno etc.) but we’ll go in details here about Junior assistant exam only.

With CBSE Junior Assistant exam completed on January 29th & 30th, lets have a look at the cut off expected to be for 2020 recruitment and for previous years as well.

CBSE Junior Assistant Cut Off 2020 expected, previous year

CBSE Has released the answer keys of Junior assistant as well as other posts’ recruitment exam held in January 2020. View the answer key after login at CBSE website here.

Highlights:

The selection process for CBSE Junior assistant recruitment 2020 consists of obtaining minimum qualifying marks (as written below) in the online test and then passing the skill test.

  • It is compulsory to obtain minimum qualifying marks in the online test to be called for skill test and then to be considered in the final selection/merit list.
  • CBSE may prepare the final merit list on the basis of cut-off marks.
  • Skill Test is only qualifying in nature and performance in the same is not considered for the final merit.
  • However, the final merit list will include the top performers and in that case, merely obtaining qualifying marks would not matter.
  • Since there is no negative marking in the paper, cut off in the final merit list is expected to be high.
  • The cut off marks will be released by CBSE only when the recruitment process is completed.

Check out article on CBSE Junior Assistant Salary, benefits & promotion/Career growth

CBSE Junior Assistant Cut Off & Selection Process

The selection process for the CBSE Junior Assistant consists of three stages:

  1. Computer Based Test
  2. Skill test/ Interview
  3. Document Verification (only for merit list holders)

Qualifying Cut Off marks:

Candidates have to obtain minimum cut off marks set by CBSE in the Junior assistant paper to qualify for the next round i.e., skill test/interviews.

The Junior assistant paper was of total 200 marks, and 100 questions were asked.

  • For Unreserved (General) category & EWS- 50% (100 marks)
  • For OBC category- 45% (90 marks)
  • For SC/ST/PWBD- 40% (80 marks)

Expected Cut off marks 2020:

The CBE Junior assistant cut off marks depends on three factors, namely- number of exam takers, difficulty level of the examination and vacancies.

Here is the expected cut off marks for 2020 (JA only) based on experts’ opinion and analysis of the exam.

  • General/unreserved category- 150-155 (out of total 200 marks)
  • SC- 130-140 (out of total 200 marks)
  • ST- 120-130 (out of total 200 marks)
  • OBC- 145-150 (out of total 200 marks)

Previous JA recruitment exam cut off

The last CBSE had conducted recruitment of Junior assistants was in 2014 for 36 posts. Even then, the recruitment process was done on the basis of qualifying marks and no cut off was released publicly.

Why the cut off could be higher in 2020?

The cut off in 2020 CBSE recruitment for Junior assistants is expected to be higher due to these factors:

  • High number of candidates & low number of vacancies– CBSE has not reported the official data on number of JA exam takers but the number is certainly huge and there are only 204 vacancies to be filled.
  • No negative marking– It will result in high average marks for each individual candidate, therefore, directly impacting the cut off to be high.

Shortlist & Selection Criteria

Candidates will be shortlisted to appear for the second and final stage of recruitment process i.e.., skill test/ interview on the basis of marks obtained in the online test held on Jan 29th & 30th, 2020.

The official notification puts it this way, “Based on the marks scored in Stage-I, candidates appearing for the post- Junior Assistant will be shortlisted, category wise, to appear in the final stage for skill test/ interview for the post(s) as the case may be.

Skill Test is mandatory for the post of Junior assistant. Here is skill test description- “A Typing speed of 35 words per minute OR equivalent speed of 10500 KDPH in English OR 30 words per minute OR equivalent speed of 9000 KDPH in Hindi on Computer.”

The candidates for the skill test will be called in the ratio of 1:10. Means, nearly 2,040 candidates will be called for the Junior assistant skill test.

Skill Test is only qualifying in nature.

The final merit list for Junior assistant recruitment will be made on the basis of candidates’ marks in the Computer Based Test. But it is compulsory for a candidate to qualify Skill test in order to be considered for the final merit list/selection.

After the publication of final merit list, shortlisted candidates will be called for the verification of documents.

Know How to register for SSB after NDA- 2019 Edition

UPSC yesterday declared the result of NDA 2 2019 examination and with that, some 7,034 high-spirited candidates are out to know how to apply for SSB after NDA.

The process to register for SSB after clearing NDA is fairly simple. The candidates are required to register themselves at Indian Army website and afterwards they will be contacted through emails about their SSB Interview date, time and place . Read below to know the complete step by step process.

How to register for SSB after NDA, know process and document required details.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the National Defence Academy (NDA) II examination 2019 on November 17th, 2019. The official advertisement related to UPSC NDA II exam 2019 was issued on August 7th, 2019. The application process was then carried out by September 3rd.

The above noted UPSC NDA 2 2019 exam is being conducted to recruit eligible candidates for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy for the 144th Course, and for the 106th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC), which will commence from July 2nd, 2020.

Yesterday, UPSC declared NDA 2 exam results and released the list of shortlisted candidates which you can check here (shortlist by name) or here (shortlist by roll number). Both PDFs are available on the UPSC website.

A total of 7,034 candidates have been provisionally shortlisted to appear for the Service Selection Boards (SSB) interview.

How to Register for SSB After NDA 2 2019.

Now, moving on the important topic: SSB registration at joinindianarmy.nic.in.

The thing is, if you are among the lucky ones who are shortlisted, you now need to register yourself at Indian Army’s website- joinindianarmy.nic.in (like registration at any other website) and as directed in the UPSC’s official notification.

Here is what UPSC officially states about SSB registration process.

  • The shortlisted candidates need to register themselves at joinindianarmy.nic.in within 2 weeks of the NDA 2 result declaration. That is, candidates need to register at joinindianarmy.nic.in before December 26th, 2019.

  • If a candidate has already registered with joinindianarmy.nic.in, he is not needed to register again.
  • If the candidate is facing any error/login problem, he can mail to [email protected].

In recent years, the process was that the candidates were directly communicated by Directorate of General Recruiting about their SSB date and Center such as Army board, AFSB or the Naval board. The Centers are provided taking into consideration preferences set by the candidate in the application. However, now it is mandatory to register at Indian Army recruiting website.

NDA SSB interview Documents Required

Candidates will be required to submit original certificates of Age and Educational Qualification at the time of SSB interview. It must be noted that the candidates do not need to send any document to UPSC now. The original documents as well photo copies have to be carried out with you in the SSB interview.

The certificates are: Birth certificate, High School/Senior Secondary marks sheets and passing certificate etc.

After SSB Process:

The final result i.e., the final shortlist of candidates for admission to the Academy will be declared after all SSB interviews are over.

The final result for the 2018 NDA 2 exam was released on May 9th, 2019. So, expect NDA 2 2019 final result to be out in May 2020.

What Changed in NEET 2020 & What Didn’t

Big changes in NEET 2020. Thats exactly what most of the experts and students likewise expected. They all stand correct. There are changes, but most of them are only good ones which NTA came up as it looks forward to simplify the admission process to MBBS courses in medical institutions across the country.

Here we have prepared an extensive list of what changes have come to NEET 2020 and in what aspect.

What Have Changed in NEET 2020

1- The biggest change: AIIMS and JIPMER entrance exams abolished.

As you must be aware of the above said news, and since NTA NEET 2020 official notification is out, its now confirmed that JIPMER and AIIMS entrance tests have been abolished and the admission to those institutions will now be done through NEET only.

Prior to this year, AIIMS and JIPMER used to conduct their own entrance exams for admissions to their affiliate colleges. But not in 2020. The HRD ministry and the National Testing Agency (NTA) had made it clear that students will now have to appear for NEET to take admission to AIIMS an JIPMER institutions too. NEET rank and scores would be the measure for their admission processes.

2. Application Fees slightly increased:

In 2019, the fees for NEET application was Rs 1400/- for General/OBC and Rs 750/- for SC/ST/PH/Transgender candidates.

But for NEET 2020, the application fees has changed. The fees for General candidates is Rs 1500/-, Rs 1400/- for General-EWS/OBC-NCL, and Rs 800 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender students.

3. Changes in NEET 2020 Application form process

NTA has made documents and photo uploading requirements in NEET 2020 to avoid forgery which was seen last year.

For NTA NEET 2020, the requirement is that student’s photo should be of post card and passport size, should contain 80% face. The photo should be in white background with name and date.

The signature uploading requirement are now that the signature should be with running hand and continuous, on white paper and with no capital letters.

Priority is given to left hand thumb impression which should be clearly visible. However, of thats unavailable, you can upload right hand thumb impression too.

NEET 2020: What did not change

Exam pattern did not change: There were a lot of anxiousness among students and facilities alike that NTA might introduce some changes to NEET 2020. The abolishment of AIIMS entrance test made experts anticipate the introduction of reasoning, logical intelligence and General awareness sections in the NEET exam pattern. However NTA did not made any change in NEET 2020 exam pattern.

  • The exam duration will be 3 hours.
  • Exam date is May 3rd, 2020.

Language/Medium– English, Hindi, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya and Kannada.

180 multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam meaning paper will carry total 720 marks. Each question will carry 4 mark and there will be negative marking too i.e., 1 mark will be deducted on each wrong answer.

Exam will have 3 sections: Physics (45 questions, 180 marks), Chemistry (45 Questions, 180 marks), and Biology (90 questions, 360 marks).

NEET 2020 will be conducted only in offline (pen and paper) mode, not in online mode.
