Calicut University trial allotment for UG admission 2020 will be published this week at www.cuonline.ac.in or www.ugcap.uoc.ac.in for the registered candidates. The Directorate of Admissions, Calicut University is all set to publish the trial allotment this week and the first allotment some time in the next week.
The University of Calicut (CU or UOC) is conducting Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for over 73,000 seats in 158 UG courses across 398 affiliated colleges. The University introduced the CAP in the academic year 2013-2014 to cater to the aspirations of students who otherwise could not pursue tendering applications, by personally approaching various Colleges. Admissions for all the UG courses with an entrance exam will be conducted through UGCAP on a purely merit basis.
The application process for this year’s UG admissions was conducted from August 3rd to August 17th, the deadline later being extended till August 24th.

The students can check the trial allotment and the following first, second allotment result by visiting the ‘latest notification’ section of the website www.cuonline.ac.in/ug/. The student would have to login using his/her registration/application number and other details in order to see the allotment.
The University will soon release the schedule for allotment rounds. Once the schedule is released candidates can download the same from the official website or check here as well.

Calicut University UG Admission 2020-21 Counselling and Allotment Process
The admissions to various UG courses in the University of Calicut (CU) that come under CAP will be conducted entirely on merit basis. The University will release a Rank List along with the first allotment. The rank list will be prepared on the basis of the candidate’s aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (Class 12). CU also conducts the Trial Allotment to give the students an idea of the allotment process and allow them to re-arrange their options.
The University will conduct three rounds allotment for all students. Whereas two special rounds of allotment will be conducted for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and EWS categories. Candidates won’t be allowed to make any addition of new options during the entire allotment process.
First Allotment will soon be published by the University on the official website. Candidates who are allotted seats to a college must remit the requisite fee to accept the admission. If the candidate is satisfied with the allotment then they must cancel their higher options otherwise they will be considered for allotment in further rounds.
The same process will repeat for the second allotment. It must be noted that candidates who do not take either a temporary or permanent admission by the second round will be expelled from the admission process.
Following this the University may conduct further rounds of allotment if seats still remain vacant.
Candidates will be able to check the allotment details by logging in to the UGCAP portal.
Candidates will have to pay a mandatory fee of Rs. 480/- (General Category) and Rs. 115/- (SC/ST/EWS) upon securing allotment to confirm their respective admission.
