DEE Merit List , Assam merit list 2020 at dee.assam.gov.in: Assam LP UP Teacher Provisional Merit List has been released today on March 24 on dee.assam.gov.in. Assam Merit List 2020 and TET merit list can be checked at dee.assam.gov.in 2020. The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) Assam has released the provisional merit list for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) passed candidates for the post of Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) teachers.

Himanta Biswa Sarma , the current Education Minister of Assam, informed the state legislative assembly on March 12 that the state government will announce the provisional/temporary merit selection list of LP & UP teachers on March 13th, 2020. However, the list was released on March 24.

March 24, Update: DEE Assam has now released the merit list of LP and UP teacher’s post recruitment. Today, only the provisional list has been released, the final list will be out once the Courts are functioning again.

The office of the Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) Assam, government of Assam, Guwahati, had released the ‘Advertisement A’ and ‘Advertisement B’ respectively for the recruitment of teachers in Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) schools. A total of 9,635 vacancies were notified, including 5,515 posts for teachers in LP schools and 4,120 posts in UP schools. As per the Gauhati High Court’s decision, candidates who have passed Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (Assam TET) were given the opportunity to apply for this recruitment between January 27th to February 11th, 2020 through DEE Assam portal (dee.assam.gov.in). The applications were first invited in 2018 from all eligible candidates.

After a wait of months, the Assam government finally released the DEE merit list on March 24 after it missed the reported date March 13th. The DEE Assam merit list publication done today is provisional as the Minister stated on March 12. Provisional/temporary list means that the final selection will be conveyed later to the candidates.

DEE Assam had called nearly 8 thousand Upper Primary (UP) Teachers’ aspirants for the document verification process while more than 21 thousand Lower primary (LP) candidates were called for the same.

The document verification process was completed on March 11, 2020, reports have stated, and now the DEE Assam is ready to publish TET LP UP provisional selection list 2020 within a week.

Candidates should know that the Assam merit list for LP and UP teachers will be released district-wise. TET Selection list will for a total of 21 districts as mentioned in the official notice. Districts names are: Sonitpur, Dhubri, Kamrup (M), Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Kamrup, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Darrang, Nalbari, Nagaon, Morigaon, Jorhat, Tinsukia and Sivsagar.

How to check Merit list:

Assam TET or LP teachers UP teachers’ merit list will be uploaded at the portal dee.assam.gov.in under the ‘recruitment notifications‘ section. dee.assam.gov.in is the official website of the The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) Assam for carrying all recruitment related online activities including result/merit list announcement.

Candidates have to look for the notification titled ” Provisional Selection List of Teachers in Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) schools 2018-2020″ will be displayed at dee.assam.gov.in once released. The candidates will have the option to check the selection status in the merit list through his/her name/roll number etc details. However, ensure to select the relevant post while checking the list.

It currently remains unknown if the Directorate will release a second list or all vacancies will be filled through this first merit list itself. We’ll update more when DEE notifies anything.
