PSEB 8th class result 2020: pseb.ac.in will publish Punjab 8th board result 2020 on March 31st or April 1st. Several media reports have indicated that Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will announce its 8th class result for board examinations held during March 2020 within 1-2 days. How to check 8th class result 2020

As all PSEB result are published on www.pseb.ac.in, 8th class results will also be released through online mode only.

Considering that the state is under lockdown due to the Coronavirus situation and all schools are shut too, the only two options to check the PSEB 8th result 2020 are through internet (online )and via SMS.

  1. pseb.ac.in 2020 class 8 result: Students will have the option to check their 8th board result name wise, roll number and school wise. More details will follow once PSEB issues official notice about the details.
  2. PSEB will also facilitate checking of 8th class results through SMS mode. To get results via sms, students will be required to sent their roll number in text message format to a prescribed number. The format and number details will be provided by PSEB soon.

Students may also keep checking PSEB partner site indiaresults.com/punjab for 8th class result updates in 2020.

The move to reintroduce board exams for class 8 has been taken due to the failure of various systems put in place by the board and state government in recent years. Bringing back the 8th class board exams, PSEB has also changed few things. The students will now be termed ‘qualified’ or ‘unqualified’ instead of ‘pass’ or ‘fail’. Those who will be unqualified in board exams held in March 2020, PSEB will hold supplementary (re) examination for those students within 2 months. Even if the students are unable to qualify in supplementary exams, they would not be expelled from the school, but would rather be detained in the same class, the board officials have noted in talks to media last year.

A total of 12.5 lakh students have appeared for board exams held in in March-April 2020 including class 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th. Nearly 2 lakh students wrote the class 8 board exams.
